Action Alarm Consultants was founded in January 1970 by Charles W. Lufkin. He is also the founder of Smart-Link long range radio network, AAC Security Associates, Inc. and is one of the original founders of Alarm Central, Inc., the third oldest, independent, U.L. listed monitoring station in the nation. On January 1 2006 his daughter, Shannon Powers, became President. . Shannon's new corporate name is AAC Systems Contractor, Inc. and she will do business under the old name of Action Alarm Consultants. Charlie will continue to provide guidance during the transition and will continue to be available to all. Shannon has been involved in the company for many years and has served as Vice-President up to Dec 2005. Shannon served her apprenticeship under Charlie.
